With a deep respect for the complexity of human relationships and the resilience of the human spirit, Judy Ceccherini brings more than two decades of experience working across clinical, community, and educational settings.

She is a marriage and family therapist with a passion for helping individuals, teens, and families heal from trauma, rebuild trust, and reconnect to themselves and each other.

Judy earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University, where she completed a capstone on Virginia Satir and transformational systems therapy. Her approach is systems-based, trauma-informed, and compassionate—woven through with evidence-based modalities like EMDR, DBT, and Attachment-Based Family Therapy. Clients find her to be deeply present, thoughtful, and refreshingly down-to-earth.

She has extensive experience in residential and school-based mental health settings, having worked with adolescents and adults in dual diagnosis treatment, high school crisis response, and community mental health. Whether she’s leading equine-assisted therapy or walking with clients through family or substance use recovery, Judy shows up with steadiness and sincerity. She believes in creating safe, supportive spaces where clients can examine their stories, gain clarity, and build confidence.

Judy is also a lifelong advocate for social justice, with an academic background in peace and justice studies and a fierce dedication to helping others feel seen and empowered. A former director of operations at an equestrian center and a seasoned therapist in both private practice and public settings, she brings wisdom, grit, and warmth to every therapeutic relationship.

I like to read, write, be in nature on my own or with friends, swim or be near water and spend time with family. My happy place is spending time at the barn doing all kinds of horse things.

When she’s not working, Judy is usually enjoying time reading, writing, exploring nature, or dreaming of her next beach trip. Her happy place is to be near the water, spending time with family, or spending time at the barn doing all kinds of horse-related activities. She believes therapy is both an art and a science—and that with the right support, everyone can create change in their life.

"You can expect that we will take time to get acquainted, identify the root problem, and create a treatment plan based on what works best for you. Together we will create goals and identify steps to improve how you feel. This may include steps to improve emotion regulation and often will include practicing new skills, healing past injuries, reframing to a more helpful mindset." — Judy
